Apprenticeship Application Process

The Northern California Cement Masons Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) is accepting applications for apprenticeship on a continuous basis and will not discriminate against apprenticeship applicants or apprentices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), sexual orientation, genetic information, or because they are an individual with a disability or a person 40 years or older.

The Training Facility is located at the Carpenters Training Center at 2350 Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton (southeast of the intersection of I-680 with I-580).

Related Training Classes

In addition to on-the-job training, related training classes are held throughout the year.  Attendance at class is mandatory.  Under the guidance of an instructor, apprentices will receive training in the following areas.

Journey-Level & Upgrade Training 

Northern California Cement Masons Related Training Classes are held on two (2) Saturdays each month, during the months of September through June.  Class hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.  Classes are held in various areas throughout the 46 Northern California counties.  Current class locations include Chico, Fresno, Morgan Hill, Pleasanton, Sacramento & Santa Rosa.

 

Current classes offered are, Boomlift, Builder’s Level & Laser, Composition Flooring, Confined Space, Countertops, Curb & Gutter, Epoxy, First Aid, Foreman Training, Laser Screed, Math, OSCA, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, Pervious Concrete, Polished Concrete, Print Reading, Patching & Sacking, Silica, Specialized Patching, Trowel Machines.
